Salt and Ethic, S.L., registered in the Madrid Commercial Registry, Volume 28168, Document 124, Section 8, Page M 507462, with address in calle Fuente Albadalejo 6 in Torrelodones, province of Madrid, and C.I.F. B-86057635 is the legal owner of the World Wide Web site www.saltandethic.com ("Site").
This Terms of Use are a legal agreement between you ("User") and Salt and Ethic, S.L. that governs your use of this website. Please note that your use of our Site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these terms, which take effect immediately on your first use of the Site. Salt and Ethic, S.L., reserves the right to change these terms of use at any time by posting changes online. This will not affect goods or services bought before the changes. We recommend reading these terms of use every time you make a purchase from our site.
By clicking the acceptance box, the user acknowledges that he or she:
a. Has read and understood these Terms of Use.
b. Is able to sign contracts and undertake legal acts in its own name.
c. Agrees to comply with the terms and conditions stated within this Agreement.
To safeguard the rights of consumers and users, these Terms of Use are in accordance with Spanish Law, in particular Law 7/98 of 13 April on General Conditions of Contracts, Law 7/96 of 15 January on Retail Commerce, Civil Code, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November containing the Revised Text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users and all other applicable legislation.
Words with different meanings will be understood in the way that is more in accordance with the nature and purpose of the contract. The language of reference of this contract is Spanish.
YOUR ACCOUNT
Before placing an order in this Site, the User voluntarily and freely consents to the collection and use of his or her personal data by Salt and Ethic, S.L. in the manner set out in the Privacy Notice.
The User will only be able to contract and place orders if he or she is over the age of legal majority. Persons over the age of legal majority with minors in their care are solely and fully responsible for the determination of the specific contents and services to which minors in their care access.
To be able to place orders in this Site, every client will voluntarily provide Salt and Ethic, S.L. with his or her personal data. In case that the personal data are fraudulent or false, Salt and Ethic, S.L. reserves the right to institute the appropriate legal proceedings against the infringer User.
Salt and Ethic, S.L. gives the User an individual login and a password to register on the Site, facilitating future purchasing processes. The User is able to choose his or her preferred login and password, providing that these are still available.
If you use this Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and password. The User will choose a login and password and agree to make appropriate use of them. The User agrees not to disclose his or her password to any third party and to immediately communicate Salt and Ethic, S.L. if these are lost or stolen, compromised in any way, or if access of third parties occurs, so that Salt and Ethic, S.L. can terminate the account or cancel orders in its sole discretion. Salt and Ethic, S.L. shall not be held responsible for any activities that occur under the account or password of the User.
The User of this Site has free access to all public information in it, though Salt and Ethic, S.L. reserves the right to restrict access to information, promotions and special offers to its registered users.
Every user of the Site has the right to register, in order to access special offers reserved to registered users providing that he or she complies with the specific conditions of the offer for each product.
Salt and Ethic, S.L. provides the appropriate technical means to enable the User to identify and correct personal data that have been provided during register or purchasing processes. These measures consist in a confirmation of the information that has been introduced and enabling the User to make changes before sending the information.
HOW TO ORDER.
The User needs to be registered in order to be able to place an order in this Site. Once that the User has registered and created an account, he or she will be able to place orders.
In compliance with the provisions of article 27 of Law 34/2002 regarding Services of the Information Society and E-commerce, Salt and Ethic, S.L. informs that the ordering process will follow the next steps:
From the Home, the User will be able to access the different sections of the Site where the product catalogue of Salt and Ethic, S.L. is made available.
The product information page containing characteristics, description, availability and price of the product will be displayed by clicking on the images or text of the products.
To select the product, click “Place an order”.
“Shopping Cart” will show all the orders that have been placed. The User can access this page by clicking “Shopping Cart” included in the header of the Home page. This page shows:
- Products that have been selected when placing your order.
- Price, incl. VAT applied.
From this page, the User will be able to eliminate products in which he or she is no longer interested or keep adding product to the “Cart”.
The process when an order is placed is as follows:
- Delivery.
- Payment.
- Confirmation.
- Finalization.
Once the User has selected the products that he or she wants to order, the process can continue by clicking on “Checkout”.
Then, the “delivery address” for the order has to be confirmed. Additionally, there will be a possibility to make comments.
By clicking on “continue”, the billing address and delivery address will be displayed and will have to be confirmed or changed, in case necessary, by the User.
Then, the order needs to be confirmed.
The client will have the possibility of benefiting of a discount voucher of 4% of the value of his or her current order (shipping costs not included) for the next purchase in the Site, or rather allow Salt and Ethic, S.L. to donate the same amount to one of the 3 partner NGOs that appear in the Site. The amount of the donation will be of 4% of the total value of the order (shipping costs not included).
PURCHASING PROCESS FINALIZATION.
Once the process has been completed, the User will receive a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address that he or she has provided. After the order has been confirmed, an e-mail will be sent by us containing information on the status of the order and the estimated time of delivery to the address that has been provided.
The Client will be informed when the product leaves the Sellers’ facilities.
Delivery times are estimations and may change: support@saltandethic.com is supplied as e-mail address to provide additional information.
SHOPPING CART OR CHECKOUT
If 2 or more products are ordered, the Client will have to pay the shipping costs for each one of the different products. Shipping costs and times will be different from one product to another. Every Seller has different shipping policies, and also different shipping promotions will be applied in each case.
When the order is formalized, once the client has proceeded to checkout it is understood that the client has agreed to the validity and efficacy of the sales / purchase contract. Salt and Ethic, S.L. will electronically store the ordered product.
Salt and Ethic, S.L. will inform the client after the order has been formalized by sending an e-mail containing confirmation of the order and the general conditions of Salt and Ethic, S.L. to the address that has been provided by the client.
ORDER DELIVERY
The products will be delivered to the delivery address that has been freely designated by the User. In this way, Salt and Ethic, S.L. shall not be held responsible when the delivery of the product is not completed due to the data provided by the User being false, incomplete or inexact or due to factors beyond the control of the enterprise that has been selected for the shipment, such as the absence of the recipient.
Salt and Ethic, S.L has adopted all possible measures so that diligent “Sellers” can deliver the product within the period that has been agreed, and if not, as soon as possible. Salt and Ethic, S.L. shall not be held responsible if delivery times are not respected.
Salt and Ethic, S.L. reserves the right to refuse service and terminate accounts of Users who have liabilities and unpaid orders with Salt and Ethic, S.L.
PRICING AND VALIDITY OF THE OFFERS
Salt and Ethic, S.L. informs that the prices indicated for each product include the value added tax (VAT) or any other applicable taxes. Prices will be expressed in different currencies but the final amount will be charged in Euros (€). The prices for each product, unless explicitly stated otherwise, do not include the costs of shipping, handling, packaging, shipping insurance, or any other additional service that can be supplied with the product.
The prices in the Site do not include Customs duties or taxes. The orders placed may be subject to Customs policies or regulations involving duties and taxes that will be charged when the product reaches the country of the recipient. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the User; Salt and Ethic, S.L. has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.
The prices of each product will only be those published in the Site, being automatically applied, in the last stage, in the sales / purchase contract. The client assumes that pricing can vary in real time. In every case, changes in prices will be previously notified to the Users.
To receive any information on the status of the order, the User may address via e-mail to the following address support@saltandethic.com. In every case, this e-mail should indicate the order confirmation number that was sent to the borrower in the order confirmation e-mail.
PAYMENT USING CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD.
Credit and debit cards are accepted payment methods. Security of payment is ensured by the Virtual Point of Sale (POS) terminal of La Caixa Bank. Salt and Ethic, S.L. does not receive or store any credit card information as this is handled by our payment provider, La Caixa. Our secure-server software encrypts all your personal information including credit or debit card number and name and address. Virtual POS of La Caixa uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology by which the encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code of 128 bits that are then securely transmitted over the Internet.
PAY PAL EXPRESS CHECKOUT PAYMENT
PayPal lets the users send payments quickly, easily and securely online. Payment is made using a credit card or bank account. The information is safely encrypted through PayPal's server to help minimize any risk of unauthorized use.
PACKAGING AND DELIVERY
The products purchased in the Site will be safely packaged by a transport company. The delivery time of the product may vary depending on its availability. After the order has been placed, if the product is available, the client will receive an order confirmation number in the order confirmation e-mail, indicating that the purchased product is going to be dispatched.
Salt and Ethic, S.L. ensures the confidentiality and security of the personal data that are recorded to dispatch the products.
DELIVERY AREAS
The Sellers of Salt and Ethic, S.L. distribute their products in all the countries in the world; though some Sellers reserve the right to not dispatch orders to some countries. This information should be checked by the borrower in the product information page, in the “Delivery info” section.
SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping costs are borne by the User and will be indicated during the purchase. Shipping costs vary depending to the selected area.
Products will be listed in the Shopping Cart and shipping costs will be calculated by adding all the products that have been listed and will depend on the area. By indicating a delivery area, the User will be automatically informed of the shipping costs.
If the user needs to purchase more than one product, the shipping costs will increase according to the number of units / products purchased.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
In circumstances where the User considers that the product does not conform with the Contract at the time of delivery, the User needs to indicate it in the delivery note upon reception of the product and inform the transport company during the next 24 hours. The User should also send an e-mail to support@saltandethic.com indicating the order confirmation number and a description of the problem.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with applicable legislation, the User may cancel a sale /purchase contract at any time within 7 days, beginning on the day he or she receives the products. Please note that Salt and Ethic, S.L is not responsible for return shipping cost.
However, if the products purchased are customized, the User will not have any right to cancel the sale /purchase contract.
To return the product, it is necessary that the User takes reasonable care of the products whilst in his or her possession, and original boxes, instructions/documents and wrappings should be retained and used for the return or collection of the products.
Before the return is made, the client should send an e-mail to support@saltandethic.com indicating the order confirmation number and a description of the problem.
Salt and Ethic, S.L. does not accept returns from companies or self-employed people. A User or consumer is a natural or legal person that does not implement any economic or professional activity.
EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
The right of withdrawal shall not apply as regards the following:
The supply of goods or services for which the price is dependent on fluctuations in the financial market which cannot be controlled by Salt and Ethic, S.L.;
The supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized or which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
The supply of sealed audio or video recordings or computer software which were unsealed by the consumer; and files electronically delivered that can be immediately downloaded for permanent use.
The supply of newspapers, periodicals and magazines;
Services where performance has begun, with the consumer's prior express consent, before the end of the seven day period;
Gaming and lottery services;
AFTER-SALES SERVICE

TERMS OF GUARANTEE.
Every product supplied in the Site is completely original, unless otherwise stated in the product description.
A two-year guarantee term applies to all the products, in compliance with the provisions of the Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 adopting the Revised Text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users and complementary legislation.
APPLICABLE LEGISLATION
This legal notice is governed and construed in accordance with the Spanish Law.
In the event of any conflict or discrepancy, the applicable jurisdiction is the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Madrid. In the event that any clause or part of the present Terms of Use is void, invalid or impossible to comply with, this will not affect the other clauses which will remain in force.
